Samsung has introduced dual aperture rear cameras on its last year flagships the Galaxy S9 series and the Galaxy Note 9, which is an industry first from the Korean maker to bring it to the global level. For those unaware, dual aperture mode on the rear cameras allows users to capture two shots, one with either a wider aperture of f/1.5 or with a narrower f/2.4 aperture based on the lighting conditions.
Well, it appears Samsung appears to be bringing not dull, but triple variable aperture with the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 cameras. According to a well-known tipster Ice Universe, he has tipped citing Samsung China engineers indicating we could see three-stage variable apertures ranging from f/1.5/f/1.8/f/2.4. What this means is that along with the conventional dual apertures present currently we could also see a third variable aperture with f/1.8 aperture.
The different apertures allow the rear cameras to bring in more light based on the environments and also enabling to have more depth effect while capturing photos as well. These interchangeable apertures being implemented on the rear cameras from Samsung would indeed add more versatility to the Galaxy Note 10 users for capturing these photos, regardless of the lighting conditions. It is believed Samsung might also include manual aperture adjustments with the upcoming Note 10 and the Note Pro devices.
