Redmi has canceled March 12, 2020, launch event in India of the Redmi Note 9 series. The company has decided to cancel the event due to some problems. The company has stated that it will not be launching the products on March 12, 2020, in India, to make sure that its employees, fans, and partners are not exposed to the problem. The company has not revealed when the phones will be launched in India now.

Earlier the company had stated that the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro will be launched in India on March 12, 2020. Post the confirmation of the date, Amazon had also posted a teaser about the upcoming smartphone, hinting that the phone could be an Amazon India exclusive. Amazon has made a dedicated microsite, which teases certain key features of the upcoming Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro smartphones. Without revealing too much, Xiaomi has been teasing Pro-level cameras and powerful performance for the upcoming Redmi Note smartphone. The smartphone will be most likely available on Amazon India as well as the company’s official website. Both websites have already teased that the upcoming phone will have a new matrix design language. The Chinese smartphone maker has been teasing that the upcoming phone will offer an ‘immersive gaming experience’. The Amazon India teaser shows that the smartphone will come with support for fast charging.

Redmi note 9 pro smartphone will be launched on March 12, 2020. Along with the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro, the company has also been posting teasers about a Redmi Note 9 Pro Max model which would be its top-of-the-line offering. The phone is rumoured to debut along with the Redmi Note 9 series on 12 March 2020.  The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max could pack a quad rear camera setup and will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800 octa-core SoC.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro will feature 30W fast charging support. It will be launched in Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black colour variants. The phone will be launched in two memory and storage configurations including 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal storage, and a second variant with 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage
